Vik is the oldest of Österlen’s seven fishing villages. The picturesque white houses with their luscious gardens are well preserved and situated along winding paths and narrow alleys. The view from the harbour with Stenshuvud’s impressive silhouette as a backdrop has attracted artists for more than 100 years. The houses give way to a varied landscape within walking distance; rocky beaches, sandy beaches and moors. Here you can take a dip on a sandy beach or from large slabs or rock – all close by – and also two 18-hole golf courses. Towards Baskemölla there is the famous enormous stone formation “The priest’s bath tub”. On the way to Stenshuvud there is a sandy beach with emerald green water and trees hanging over. This is Österlen’s Caribbean!
